What should I put in the address fields?
In the “From” field, you’ll input where your items will be shipped from. In the “To” field, you’ll enter where you want your items delivered.
Which size categories should I select?
Here you’ll select the number of items you are sending within each size category. Use our calculator to confirm your selection.
One-way, round trip, or return?
Using the drop-down above the address field, you can select if you’re shipping:
- One-way → You are shipping from one place to another. You select when you’d like the items to arrive.
- Round Trip → You are shipping from one place to another, then back. You select when you’d like the items to arrive, then go back.
- Return → You are shipping from one place to another. You select when you’d like the items to be dropped off/picked up.
Keep in mind when you select the date you’d like an item to arrive, you will be shown ship dates that fulfill it. To ensure your item arrives on time, it should enter transit that day.
Which carrier should I choose?
LugLess works with both FedEx and UPS. Both are trusted partners, however, you are welcome to choose whichever you prefer.
What is a support plan?
LugLess offers features like Value Protection, on-time guarantees, pickup, etc. While these features can be added individually after booking, we offer bundled features for your trip with our Minimal, Basic, Essential, and Extra support plans.
- Pro tip: Always confirm the details on the checkout screen! Ensure the full address is provided, including any unit number.
Should I choose pickup or drop-off?
Choose the option that best fits your schedule: pickup for convenience or drop-off for added flexibility. Keep in mind that pickup does require 24 hours’ notice, while you can book same day if you opt to drop-off.
Should I choose self-print labels, digital labels, or a shipping kit?
- Self-print → Available for drop-off/pickup. Use a standard printer to print and attach your labels to your shipment.
- Digital → Available for drop-off only. The carrier will scan your QR codes, then print and adhere the labels. Can be added to any support plan after booking for $6.
- Shipping kit → Available for drop-off/pickup. Includes ready-printed labels, zip ties, and fly-tags to attach your labels. When booking our Extra plan, both the kit and pickup are included if you book with at least five days’ notice. Can be added to any support plan after booking for $25.
Which support plan is right for me?
LugLess offers four Support Plans: Minimal, Basic, Essential, and Extra. Each has a set of features that will be included with that trip. You can compare each on the booking screen. When deciding, consider:
- If your plans are in flux, opt for our Extra plan, which is fully refundable.
- If you were thinking of choosing digital labels, they’re already included with our Essential plan.
- If you’re looking to maximize savings, forgo additional and keep it simple with our Minimal plan.
How much coverage should I choose?
In the rare event of loss or damage, users determine how much coverage is available. Most support plans include coverage, but you can also add up to $3,500 per tracking number after booking. Always choose coverage in proportion to what is shipped. Once your items enter transit, coverage can no longer be changed.
Can I make changes later?
Before your labels are scanned, you can always make changes to your trip by heading to the “Edit” tab within your account. If you select our Minimal plan, a $20 upgrade will be required.

FAQs
Should I expect additional charges after booking? As long as all the information entered is complete and accurate, no! Carriers do charge for changes made in transit, so confirm the details of your booking before drop-off/pickup.
I’m shipping from somewhere I don’t live; what should I put in the “From” field? If you’re not local to the area, you can enter the drop-off location’s address.
Can I switch from a one-way to a round-trip after booking? While you cannot make this change after booking, you can simply book a separate return trip. Otherwise, you can cancel and rebook.
Can I switch carriers after booking? Carriers cannot be switched after booking. If you wanted to cancel and rebook with another carrier, reach out to our team for assistance.
What if I want to cancel a booking I just made? Same-day cancellations are always fully refundable! Please note, this means your booking must be cancelled on the same day it was booked, not within 24 hours.
What do I do if I get a destination/origin error message when booking? If you select “I don’t see my address” from the drop-down, confirm the information is accurate–remove words like “Township” and confirm the ZIP is accurate. If the issue persists, reach out to our team for assistance.
Is a support plan a recurring charge? No, this is a one-time charge for the features of the trip you are booking.
How far in advance should I book? We recommend booking at least 10 days before your trip to access our most affordable options (which can take up to 6 business days). If you prefer, you can also book day-of.
