How does drop-off work?
If you have selected a support plan with drop-off, you are responsible for taking your luggage to a local carrier location. Here’s what you need to do:
- Print your shipping labels. You can use a standard household printer and paper.
- Securely attach your shipping labels. You’ll have two labels for each tracking number: an exterior label and an interior copy. You can learn more about labels here. Use clear tape to securely attach your label.
- Identify a convenient drop point. Any full-service carrier location can accept your shipment, but here’s a full list of drop-off locations.
- Drop off your shipment before 4 PM. You can drop-off any time the location is open, but doing so after the cutoff may result in your shipment being held for transit until the following business day.
Pro tip: Don’t have access to a printer? Consider digital labels that the carrier will print and attach for you. Keep in mind, not all third-party drop-off locations can accept digital labels.

If you have digital labels, we recommend sticking to the list we provide, as not all third-party drop-off locations can accept digital labels. Not seeing your desired location in this list? You can always locate a different drop-off location directly through the carrier:
- Search all FedEx locations or just search FedEx Office.
- Search all UPS locations or just search the UPS Stores.
Pro tip: If you’re dropping off at a location within a hotel or convention center, there may be an additional handling fee. We recommend avoiding these by dropping off at an alternate nearby carrier location. As these locations are independently owned, LugLess cannot compensate for their fees.
When do I drop off?
When booking, you select the drop-off date. To ensure your item enters transit the same day, you must drop it off before 4 PM. You can drop-off later, but doing so may result in your shipment being held for transit until the following business day. Ultimately, there is no penalty for early/late drop-off, but it will likely result in early/late delivery.

Can I drop-off further from my origin location? As long as you're dropping off within the same general area as the origin address provided, you can do so at any convenient location.
Can I drop-off before the date I selected? Yes, but your shipment will enter transit once it is dropped off. Early drop-off usually results in early delivery. Generally, if you drop-off two days early, you can expect it to deliver two days early. There is no fee for early drop-off.
Can I drop-off after the date I selected? You can drop-off within seven days of the date selected upon booking. There is no fee for late drop-off. If you need to drop-off later, you can reschedule your trip under the “Edit” tab.
Can I drop-off on the weekend? In accordance with carriers, we’re unable to schedule a trip through the weekend. You are still able to drop-off, however, so long as the location is open. There is no penalty for early/late drop-off, though it will likely result in early/late delivery.
