LugLess offers three label types: self-print, digital, and a shipping kit. Depending on your needs, you may find one more convenient. Learn about each to determine which is right for you, and whether they’re available for your particular trip by continuing below!
Need help with your labels?
Printable Labels
Self-print labels are printed directly from your LugLess account. Any standard home printer will do the trick, as will standard paper. Make sure to print all the pages; you should have a shipping label for each bag and a copy that goes inside each bag!
Don’t have access to a printer? Consider switching to digital labels if you're dropping off. Otherwise, most carrier locations offer printing services (confirm ahead).
Digital Labels
Digital labels are QR codes presented upon drop-off; they are not available for pickups. The carrier will scan, then print and adhere your labels. It’s important to ensure you are showing the correct code with the correct package, as it is ultimately up to the user to ensure their shipment is properly labeled.
If you booked a round trip, always ensure you are using the correct labels for each leg of your trip. On the “Get Labels” page, you’ll see them separated by destination.
Not planning on dropping everything off at once? Digital labels are designed to be used together; if you are dropping off your items in waves, make sure to save all QR codes prior to shipping. Simply take a screenshot or print the label page as a PDF to avoid issues.

Shipping Kit
Our kit includes ready-printed labels, zip ties, and pouches to attach your labels. When booking our Extra plan, both the kit and pickup are included if you book with at least three days’ notice.
Want to add a kit to an existing booking? As long as you’re still providing the required notice, you can upgrade to a shipping kit within your account:

Where are my labels?
Once your trip is booked, all you need to do is print your labels and securely attach them to your luggage prior to your ship date. If you have not yet received your labels, it is likely due to one of the three reasons below:
- An edit was made to your trip. When an edit is made, new shipping labels are needed! As such, your original labels will be voided and should not be used. Allow about 10 minutes for your new labels to appear in your account, or wait for the email notification alerting you they’re ready!
- We're missing your phone number. Our carriers require a phone number in order to process your trip. Please update your account, and we will process your labels as quickly as possible!
- You purchased a custom shipping kit. Shipping kits are mailed directly to your origin address. They typically arrive a few days ahead of your ship date, allowing for changes. If you booked your trip far in advance, you may not receive them right away! If you would like them earlier, please reach out to us.
Booked more than a few days in advance? Your labels may not generate right away. A few days before your ship date, please head back to your account to find your labels. You can also reach out to our team if you need your labels now.
Why is the label weight incorrect?
You are always fine to ship up to the amount selected upon booking. You will receive additional charges only if you exceed your chosen size category. The weight shown on your printed labels is for internal billing purposes only and is NOT the maximum allowable weight. Depending on the category selected, you can ship:

Attaching the wrong label
Once a label is attached and scanned, LugLess does not have the ability to switch them. Each label displays its size category, and it is ultimately up to the user to ensure the correct label is attached to the correct item. Adjustments resulting from incorrect labeling are not eligible for reimbursement.
