Will my luggage be covered?

Is my luggage covered?
The contents of your luggage may be covered depending on the support plan you choose during the booking process. If you ship naked luggage, the protected value for the actual suitcase is capped at $200 for damage.
Your luggage is considered to be "outside packaging" which is why the coverage is limited for naked luggage. This usually isn't a problem since our carriers will handle the luggage with care. You should expect some normal wear and tear, and in rare circumstances, we have seen an overpacked suitcase bust open or damage caused by loose straps. Please note there are certain restrictions to the value protection in regard to your luggage. The only way to have full coverage for your luggage is to ship it within a box.
What is covered?
Value protection provides purchase replacement for the contents of your luggage up to the full amount of the protection coverage. LugLess offers a very simple, self-service claim process in the rare event that you experience damage or loss. Please note, exclusions apply.
Packing Tip
Suitable packaging is required to ensure the contents of your luggage arrives safely at its destination. We recommend that you wrap ski bindings and golf clubs to help prevent damage.
How much coverage do I have?
We always recommend covering your luggage and contents up to their full replacement value. Please note, the first $100 in damage/loss is not covered by LugLess. You can check how much coverage you have directly within your account:
My Account > Trips > View Trip > Overview > Coverage
Not enough?
You can add value protection up to $3,500 per bag at any time before putting your luggage into transit. Learn how here!
