What items are prohibited?
Before you ship your luggage, please review our list of items that are prohibited or are not covered by value protection. LugLess Value Protection covers the shipment of only clothing and sports equipment. Loss of or damage to other goods are excluded from coverage:
Prohibited:
- Medication
- Perfume (anything with high alcohol content)
- Batteries (Lithium based batteries commonly found in laptops, cell phones, tablets, etc.)
- Alcohol
- Aerosols
- Flammables & Explosives
- Firearms
- Illegal Drugs
- Currency
Not covered:
Here are some of the most common items that cannot be covered by our value protection:
- Electronics
- Food
- Plastic containers
- Books
- Valuables
- Fragile items (glassware, ceramics, stoneware, etc.)
- Artwork
- Musical instruments
- Small appliances (coffee maker, crockpot, blender, etc.)

Any hazardous or dangerous commodities are prohibited from all LugLess shipments.
Violators of the Federal Hazardous Materials Regulations (49 CFR parts 100—185) may be subject to civil penalties of up to $75,000 for each violation ($175,000 if the violation results in severe injury or substantial destruction to property).
