While both are rare, Value Protection provides compensation in the event of a damaged or lost shipment. Users determine the amount of coverage available, with LugLess offering up to $3,500 per tracking number. Coverage is elected before transit, and once a label has been scanned, it cannot be modified. Always ensure you are selecting coverage in accordance with what is being shipped!

What items are covered?
Coverage applies to clothing, sports equipment, luggage, and everyday household/personal items that are not fragile or specialty items. LugLess doesn’t hide behind fine print, and we provide a clear breakdown of what is and is not covered.
Is luggage covered?
Luggage is covered by Value Protection, however, the protected value for an unboxed suitcase is capped at $200 for damage. To receive full coverage for a suitcase, it must be boxed. Boxing suitcases can also help protect from some of the normal wear and tear of transit (cosmetic damage like scratches, marks, or dents is not covered).
Please note damage to wheels, handles, and/or zippers is not covered under our Terms of Value Protection. Consider securing handles down, and always lock your luggage! Unlocked luggage may not be eligible for coverage.
Are boxes covered?
While the contents inside may be eligible for coverage, cardboard boxes themselves are not covered by Value Protection.
What is the deadline to file a claim?
Damage claims should be filed within 15 days of delivery, while missing shipment claims can be submitted within 30 days of the expected delivery date.

Are delays covered?
While Value Protection does not apply to delayed shipments, LugLess does offer two Guarantees if your item does not arrive by the selected date. Our Carrier Guarantee provides a $10 LugLess credit for each delayed shipment, and our Full Guarantee offers $20.
Guarantees do not apply to delays outside of the control of LugLess or our carriers. This can include, but is not limited to: shipments that include prohibited items, inadequately packaged or labeled items, security regulations imposed by the government, or otherwise applicable to the shipment; riots, strikes or other labor disputes; civil unrest; disruptions in air or ground transportation networks; natural disasters; incomplete or incorrect address information; delay or seizure by Customs or similar authority; severe weather; and/or failure of delivery equipment.
Please note LugLess cannot provide compensation for incidentals relating to delays. If you are shipping to an area prone to adverse weather, consider shipping your items ahead of time.
